Could it be???? Yipee 87% SAVINGS!!!

Ok I have decided that this whole coupon thing is impossible to do alone! It is all about support and networking with each other. I went back to Fry's tonight, only after I had talked with my neighbor to hear she had saved 89% last night!!! So again I got some great tips from her and went on my way to get as much as possible, much better than the other day...

I can not break this one down either, SORRY!!! This is why I do not Blog for an actual living. In a nutshell...I got all the items for $4.95 = I am super happy. I did get the Smart Waters, Crest toothpaste, Oral B toothbrushes and Sunny D all for Free...that much I can tell you...How??? I don't know! (the promotion and coupons somehow)
That is just too Cool!!

My Super Eater!!!

Before he started!!!!!

I am going to brag about my super duper eater, named Waylon. No Joke, Waylon has been eating so well it is hard not to brag about him. I wish he would drink a little more milk but for the most part he does AWESOME. This is an example of one of his meals. Last night he had grapes, salad and spaghetti for dinner. He ate every single bit of it!!! Now it does take him a while to finish his meal, but the point is he finishes it and I do not have to bug him about it. He thinks fruit is a dessert and loves everything, fruits and vegetables. He does well at all of his meals! So proud of our little stinker. :-)

All Done!!!!!!!

Fry's Finds~71% Savings

OK Let's Try this one more time~ I began this blog and then lost it, both mentally and I deleted it somehow. I think they made a big error on my receipt...Oh well it benefited me, so that works.
I got all of the items above for $10.23~ I think some of the coupons that the gal ran were supposed to be off of 2 items and she scanned them anyway of of just 1.... Hmmm I am really confused.?????
I know I got a great deal, I just do not know how to explain it to you....maybe my skills are getting ahead of me. I did use coupons on most of the items above. This was great because my Pantry continues to be stocked up and with the good stuff too. We are saying good bye to generic items and welcoming in the good stuff again in our home~
Well this is a break down I can do that is easy to understand. I used $10.75 in manufacture coupons on the items above. Fry's matched them up to a dollar and saved me an additional $1.25. By using my VIP card I saved another $13.22. So my total savings was $25.22 and I only spent $10.23=71% savings on my bill.
Seriously, I do not know why anyone would spend $35.45 on the items above, but that is what it would have been if I did not have the coupons and savings card. Are you confused yet?? Sorry not one of my better blogs... :-)

Party Night

This story started a long time ago. (20 something years ago) When Ahna and I were kids, we lived down the street from each other. Our parents became fast friends as did we. Every Friday night we would go down to one of our families homes and have what is officially know as "Party Night" Basically it was a night were we (the kids) got to drink soda, eat pizza, play nintendo, or watch t.v. This was always such an event and we all looked forward to it.

Well ,"Party Night" has become even more special to Ahna and I know that we are older and live in seperate states. Fridays are still super important to us because we chat just about every Friday together to discuss our busy weeks. When Ahna and Ryan come home we ALWAYS do party night. Our boys have no idea what is in store for them. We know they will too become fast friends as we watch the third generation of friends grow up together. (wow, that made me feel old)

We also made it to the lake with Ahna and Ryan, Courtney and Jon too. The lake, what more can one say. That ALWAYS equals a great time!

Love everyone who is apart of our Party Nights~Happy Friday!!!

Fun Days for Waylon

Throughout our summer Waylon and I have gone to many places. Most of the time we go to Tot Town and then sometimes we go to a place called Busy Bodies. Waylon absolutely LOVES these two places. We go many times with our neighbors next door and sometimes Hailey also joins us.

Tot Town is at a church gym over by my mom's house and is on Wednesdays. We can not do this during the school year because it is in the mornings and I am working. :-( So we make sure to get as many in during the summer as we can. Tot Town has a bunch of different activities and or stations for kids ages birth to about 4 or 5 years old. Waylon gets the chance to run around and play with all kinds of toys and kids. They have added a bounce house this summer and this was Waylon's favorite last week.

Busy Bodies is so much fun too. This is on Thursday mornings and we might do this every now and again when school starts back up, as he LOVES this place too. Busy Bodies is a large room that has all kinds of kid friendly toys. They even had a cute treadmill and exercise bike a couple of weeks ago. (and a bounce house) They change it up often so it is different for the kids almost everytime.

Enjoy!

Some good Finds to share

Alright for those of you who I know secretly enjoy this stuff as much as I do here you go. :-)
This is from some tips from some blogs I follow and from my neighbor Amy (thanks). I made two trips yesterday and bought all of the items above for $3.57! How do you ask??? Well here it is.

My first stop was Wal-Mart (although it should have been my 2nd, oh well) I bought the Hefty Bags at $1 each and used two coupons I had from the 5-17 Red Plum insert at $1 off any package so that made 2 of them FREE. Then I had a blinkie coupon for a $1 off any package too so that made the third one also FREE! Yipee..

What is a blinkie coupon? Those are in the grocery stores in the iles and they pop up in random spots. The key with these is to grab several if you think you will use the item or know you can use it somewhere else, like I did. These are a manufacture coupon, but most places will not double them, which was ok in this case.

I also bought the floss at Wal-mart under the same principle. It was spotted for $1 and I had a coupon for $1 off from a 6-14 Smart Source insert which also made it free. I could have bought 2 bought I left the other coupon at home. Rats! So you guessed it that item was also free!

Now that is not all I got at Wal-Mart but it was my good finds that were worth sharing. I was proud of myself in my various random items I bought I was able to use $25.10 in just coupons alone yesterday. That is probably one of my highest ones yet!

Now, my second stop of the day was Bashas'. Here is one of the good tips I got from Amy. Bashas' had the blinkie coupons for the Hefty zip lock bags. This was my main purpose to go here, to grab MORE! So I scurried down the ilse and there it blinked... I grabbed 5 more coupons, Yeah! I now have them for my next trip to Wal-Mart. I also managed to get a good coupon for Easy Mac Cups too. 55 cents of 2, I grabbed 4 of those. They were not a blinkie but a tear off coupon on a pad of paper. The good thing about this one is that other stores or even Bashas' WILL double it. Which could make a $1 off 2. So the key here is to grab them and wait for a SALE. I have in the past gotten these as cheap as 17 cents each...
Other items I got where

Wacky Mac- On sale for $1.25 had a coupon for 75 cents which was double up to a $1...made it 25 cents a package. I got 2. Thanks to Amy on that tip too....Will make a yummy pasta salad for Cheap.

Star Bucks Ice Cream- Well this was a joke, but Free...See how small those stinkin' containers are next to that coupon... Yeah, they were on sale for $1.25 each, I had a $2 off coupon, so got them for Free.

Hefty Plates- on sale for $1.69 each and there are 55 plates in each package. I had 2 .55 off coupons and yep you guessed it they doubled to $1 off each. So that means I got 110 plates for $1.38 or .69 each. I am going to put these in the trailer for future camping trips. :-)

Last item was a blinkie item, that did not work out as well, but it worked. The bag of vegetables was on sale for 1.89 and there was a magical blinkie for it so I grabbed one. They did not double it, because it says not to on the coupon, but some places will do it anyway. Rats... so I got that for 1.34 still not bad.

So there you have it...some of my deals for the weekend.

Happy Couponing and Savings!

A New Toy for Waylon

That's Right, our BOY is on this glorious pink and purple quad. Thank you so much to a dear friend of mine that let Waylon have this quad when her granddaughters were done with it. This is a Hot Wheels quad that runs on a battery and is just so much fun for him. It is the perfect new gift for him and it is not too big to be in the house. Thank goodness for all our space and tile. He can ride it around and around in the house instead of in the 115 degree heat! My favorite is that Waylon puts his Mr. Bear on the back to ride along with him, just to cute. Thanks Sarelle he loves it!!!

Happy 4th of July!

We hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th. We spent our 4th with family and friends at the Pickard's home. (Thank you again) They have a huge yard that is great for Waylon to play in and the fireworks are just amazing at Arrowhead. Waylon was a little nervous for the fire crackers because he kept hearing the neighbors lighting some off, but once they began he watched them very well. He even said they looked like "pine cones"

I have been taught a new trick by Ahna for posting more pictures. So instead of my blogs being loaded with pictures I can now make a link for a photo album for you to click on like this. When you see a link like this in future blogs you will now know that you click on the link to see more pictures. Thanks Ahna~

Well there is a short amount of time remaining in our summer, but we have quite a few more things planned including one more camping trip so the blogs won't slow down yet. Hope you are all having a great summer!

Love,
The Pickards
