I am offically a Coupon Nerd~

These are just my freebies that I got from Target on Thursday. Yeah me!

I have been sneaking a peak at some of my secret blogs that I love to follow and I have learned a lot about couponing in the past few weeks. I then got even more info from my neighbor who is just as big of a coupon nerd as I am and I have really gotten carried away...BUT I have saved a ton!!! I am so proud of myself..Here are some of my recent finds.

Target-
-$1 on a .99 cent small loaf of bread (from the Bakery)
Yep that means I got it for FREE!!! I also used 4 coupons so I got 4 for Free.
(there are only 3 in the picture because I ate one for lunch)

-$1 target coupon + .55 manufacture coupon for small Motts applesauce containers (6pack)
These were originally $1.69 so using BOTH the coupons I paid only .14 each for these! I got 2

-$1 on Dove deoderant- this coupon did not say except trial sizes (their mistake) so I picked up a .97 trial size one and Yep got it for FREE!
-$1 off Cheetos so I bought a bag by the register and it was only .99 so I got it for free after my Target coupon

My biggest find was today (thank you AMY) on steaks Today~
again I had $2 off coupons for a brand of steaks at just target from Target.com these steaks then had more off of them today..they had either a $2.50 or $3.00 off instant coupon on them. All in All when the amounts had been removed I had only paid like a little over a dollar for each package of steaks. Granite, they may not be the best steaks, we have never tried them. Jake is kinda particular about his steaks, but I figure how can I go wrong, when I bought almost 2 or more meals of STEAK MEAT for $4!!!

I also went to Walgreens and CVS yesterday too and found some deals there as well. I am still having a hard time even going to these places because my brain thinks of them as being too expensive. But when you have certain skills then you can double up on coupons and walk out paying next to nothing for a lot of stuff.

I think I spent maybe 15 dollars yesterday and when I totalled up my reciepts I had saved over 30 dollars! I know I saved 10 alone on the steaks! I love this coupon stuff...Thanks to my neighbor Amy and my seceret blogs I follow. (not all are posted but some are on the right if you check them out.)

Love a Coupon Nerd
Happy Savings!

Twinkle Twinkle By Waylon Pickard!

I hope this works! I caught Waylon "finally" on video singing a favorite of his "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." He has been singing pieces of this song for a long time. He finally knows just about the entire thing now with little prompting.

Well, this video is him singing it and then I recorded it from the T.V. to my camera. (I know I probably could have done this just from the camera but I do not know how to do this yet) Anyway, you will hear some parts where he says things as he is watching his video in the background. He LOVES to watch himself on the TV so much.

Hope this works enjoy!

Is this Bad?

Well, camping was an adventure as always! My Dad and Laura (aka Papa and Grandma) came with us with their new trailer and let's just say the trailer was initiated for the first time! I have been camping with Jake a couple of times now, and it has never been what I plan it to be. We seem to get to a place and a whole adventure takes place and who knows what will happen and who we will meet.

It all started on Friday morning with Jake and I having everything packed up and ready to go. We only left only 30 minutes later than we told my dad to get here. That is good for us! We left at 7:30 and as we pull into "the spot" that Jake had planned this entire trip around we see a sign that reads "Road Closed" That's OK we keep driving up a different road and reach another sign "Road Closed." At this point we have to turn these big trucks and trailers around, No Problem. (thankfully this time it was not) So we divert our trip from Munds Park to Mormon Lake.. We arrive and come across many more "Road Closed" signs. We did not know this at the time but it turns out that most roads are closed until May, WIERD?? We soon learn why.

Ahh , so we find an open place where there is another family camping. It is large enough so we pull in too. We will camp here!!! We soon come across a couple of problems...we get stuck, Dad gets stuck, and then the other family that tried to help get stuck. Thankfully, not all of us were stuck at the same time everytime. Well, after many hours of getting unstuck and then stuck again the guys send Jake into town to find some locals to help us with something more powerful than our trucks! Oh course Jake goes to a small town bar and finds two wonderful troopers to join us and pull us out of our big messes. However, I guess the urge was too great and one of them also got stuck in the process. I think Laura and I counted a total of close to 7 times that everyone got stuck.

Meanwhile, Waylon is being so great just loving being outside. He had hardly eaten and not really taken a nap that day, but just to be outside with Daddy was enough to make his day! He was great. To top it all of it was Grandma birthday too! We did get a chance to celebrate with some oh so fantastic brownines that I made! I think they were my best ever. Happy Birthday Grandma!

The next day was much better and more relaxing

Saturday was a day of pure relaxing, well as much as you can chasing Waylon away from mud puddles and water. We rode the quad around just up and down the road with Waylon sandwiched in between Jake and I. Waylon LOVED this, he would say "I RIDE THE QUAD!" most of the time we were on it. We also did a little pre Easter egg hunting. This year Waylon will be doing this with his cousins so I want him to know what is going on, so I thought this would be great practice. He loved this event too. " I find this one and find another one" were two phrases he said repeatedly. Here are some shots of him finding his eggs.

All in all the trip was memoriable and most importantly our family was together and safe. We had a wonderful time on Waylon's 1st official camping trip. As Waylon would say, "Bye, Bye Camping!"

The Train Park

Well today we took another small road trip out to Scottsdale to the Train Park with some more friends of ours. Waylon likes to play with Allie and Leah, they are the grand daughters of a good friend of mine who I have taught with most of my career. Hailey my niece also came along so it was a perfect day for Waylon because he loves Hailey!

We road on the Merry-go-round again today and then road the train twice. It was the perfect day to do this other than a school was there for a field trip. I don't see the purpose in that field trip, but oh well I am sure those kids had fun too. It was much better and less crowded once that group left. (you can tell I am on Spring Break)

Here are a few pictures that we took through out the day.Hailey & Waylon playing at the playground. Wow! Cool A roller slide, it has been forever since I have seen one of these.
Waylon with Sarelle's grand daughter Allie. What a couple of cuties!

A Day with Friends!

Ok well I know we have not posted in a while but things have not been too exciting around here the past few weeks. I mean who wants to see pictures of the park and Waylon playing in the rocks out front all the time right?

Well good news is it is Spring Break for Mommy and we have things planned! Today we took a mini road trip with the neighbors next door and piled all the kids into her van including all our mommy gear and strollers and went to PV mall.

This is the gang at the end of the trip but you get the idea! Seriously is Waylon sucking his thumb back there? He has a molar in the back coming in so he has had those fingers in his mouth a lot lately.

OK so we drove out there and the boys played in the playplace for a while and I tried to get some cute shots as always but did not get many. I should just take the video instead.

PV mall has lots of free things to do. We played at the play place, then went to the pet shop and then for $1 we road the merry go round! Sorry no pictures of that this time :-( But we had a great time and Waylon loves his friends Jackson and Jason. We have wonderful neighbors and are so lucky. Thanks for a great time.

Stay tunned tomorrow we go to the Train Park in Scottsdale and this weekend is our First Camping Trip!!! Oh boy!
