A Busy Weekend

The greatest things in life are family, friends and love. This weekend had all of these wonderful things ALL weekend long!
Well even though this post comes a little late, the memories of this busy weekend are still very clear! We FINALLY got all of us together with all of our babies, and mind you we wasted no time. (Connor was one week old here!)

Remember that my best friend and I plus my sister were all pregnant together.
(uhh..AMEN this part is over!) The Babies are all here! Our Toni (July 1st)Ahna's Olivia (Aug. 4th) and Courtney's Connor (Sept. 9th) Here we are!!! Even with the little boys Waylon and Cooper.
Ahna and her family were visiting and we made it over one night and got our pictures.
Now they are not professional pictures by any means but like Ahna said in her blog, it is just practice for some amazing pictures later on, Right? Every time I see Ahna it is never enough time, I am so grateful to have her as a friend and be able to see her as often as I do especially with her living in Oregon now! But everytime I see her the time flies by so fast it was so wonderful to hang out as though nothing had changed, even though you can plainly see LIFE itself has changed grately for all of us in a wonderful way!
The next night was a wonderful night as well! DATE NIGHT!!!! Jake and I used to be really good at these nights, and we still are, but they are much fewer of these days anymore. We had planned this night months ago and bought some great tickets to see Brad Paisley. Even though the concert was at Cricket, it was still a really awesome show. We dropped the kids off for their fun nights with family and went out and had some much needed time with us together. I was proud of us, we managed to have a really good time and stayed out till about midnight...I even managed to sleep in until about 9 the next morning.

This was one of those bitter sweet weekends. It was a go go go weekend that wore us all out, but also one that had many things I miss. It used to be several years ago where our weekends were normally like this. We would hang out with frineds and family and go to great events like concerts or spend the whole day out on the lake. But.....Now our life is all about smiles and faces like these two....and I would not change it for anything in the world. I love the path that is my life so much

Toni's 1st Trip to Sedona

This post comes a little late as it has been a very busy week around here. After returning from Sedona (which was so wonderful and relaxing!), I went back to work and my sister had her baby!
As we have stated in the past Sedona is such a special place for our family for so many reasons. Jake and I had our first trip together, were married, found out we were pregnant with Waylon after a trip to Sedona, both babymoons, Waylon and Toni both had their first trips in Sedona. So as you can see there are a lot of great memories in Sedona for our family and I am sure there will be many more!

Toni did wonderful as usual. The entire drive up and back she slept, no problems at all with her ears or needing to be feed. She even slept well most of the nights we were there. Toni also found her voice during this weekend. She had so many of us holding and talking to her all weekend that she decided to join in the conversations. One night (well actually it was about 4 or 5 AM) she "talked" herself to sleep. It was so amazing and lasted for about 20 minutes. I thought about grabbing my camera but she would have stopped had I gone downstairs to get it. I got some videos that I did catch of her talking during the trip, but they are being difficult in uploading...Arrr

Waylon and the rest of us also had a wonderful time. We did get a quad ride in with the boys and celebrated Gavin's 4th and Hudson's 6th birthdays too. We were able to have this trip on Labor Day weekend again like last year, and I love it! Because it is such a nice and long relaxing trip with my family. We spent some time outside laying in the cool temperatures and listening to the bugs and creek. I love being in Sedona and am so happy that we have created another great memory in such a wonderful place.

Here are some pictures of our fun times throughout the weekend.

2 Months Old.

I can not believe it has been two months already....That means that it is almost time for me to go back to work and almost time for my sister to have her baby anyday!
Toni went to the Dr. about a week and a half ago and then she weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces and was 23 inches long. So needless to say she is growing just fine. She, like Waylon, is a complete blessing to us. Life with her here is complete and perfect, I love that little girl 100 times more than I did 2 months ago. She is beginning to smile and coo a lot more. I have really enjoyed my last two days with just her and I while Waylon was having fun at Brandy's. There were several days where in between her naps her and I would lie together and just talk to one another...and smile... How I LOVE her smile..
Toni is doing wonderful sleeping in her crib at night. She began sleeping in it at 6 weeks old (where Waylon was 8 weeks). The very first night was a little rough but we got through it and she has done wonderful since then. She was not crying, I think she was just over stimulated and must have been excited to be in her crib. Because she had a 3 hour spell of wide awakeness that night...but eventually she fell asleep and now does well.

Those BIG eyes seem to be turning BROWN like MINE!

She is more on a schedule now than she was before and this makes me HAPPY! Now it is not my favorite schedule but at least it is somewhat predictable. She goes to bed about an hour after Waylon which is nice because she is up watching Waylon and I do his whole routine for bed. Then once he is down, I get her ready and feed her. So that actually works out nicely, we may have to switch that though in the future and get her down first. Once she is to bed, she gets up about twice throughout the night. Usually about 12-1 she feeds and then again about 4-5.

Waylon adores her and is such a wonderful big brother. We are looking forward to an exciting month ahead as I go back to work and both kids go to Brandy's house and the arrival of our nephew Connor, any day now. Toni will soon have someone to stare at and I can not wait for them to grow up together. We are also going to be heading to Sedona for Toni's first vacation soon and Toni (along with the rest of us) will also get to meet Olivia this month too!

Happy 2 months to a Happy, Healthy, Amazing little girl. I am so proud of you baby girl and love you more and more every day. Can't wait to see all you accomplish this month.
