More Good Deals Today!

Alright, it must be that time of year for the deals to be here. I went to this sale last year and did well, but this year I did a little better! There is a store out in Surprise called Once Upon A Child. It is a second hand store that I shop at sometimes for Waylon. Overall, I like the toys better here, but can find some clothes from time to time.

Today they had a grab bag sale. You are given a bag when you walk in and you place as many items in the bag as you can and it only costs you $10! So I always go in and look at all the clothes, boys, girls, big and small...because these make great gifts, are great for the future for Waylon and great camping clothes too.
In my finds today I found mostly items for Waylon. Not amazingly great clothes, but overall fairly new looking (some where new and still had tags) and cheap! We got some sweatshirts and long sleeved shirts for hopefully some future camping trips or at least quad rides this year. Who cares how dirty he gets right, when it only cost me a $1 or less for the top! The only thing I was a little disappointed in was I did not find any pants, which poor Waylon desperately needs more of.

I found a few baby boy items too...not necessarily for our baby because we do not know yet and lord knows we have plenty of baby boy clothes already. BUT we have a lot of people around us expecting and so many ladies at school too so somebody is bound to have a boy!

OK so here is the best part..I bought 14 items and on my receipt I spent $10.85 and saved $37.50 when you do the math on that one it is 78% savings...Yippee so excited. Good finds once again, must be my week!

Amazing Night at Fry's

Alright, we all know what a nerd I am when I get excited about this coupon stuff....but this one was well worth it! Yeah I know there are some of you out there who think whatever, but you are secretly interested and you will read my blog just to find out HOW DID I DO IT?

Well, I am not going to go in to every item or detail, because as you can see by the picture I bought a lot of stuff. Many of the items in the picture I bought multiples of, anywhere from one to four of them.

This trip was amazing for several reasons; 1) I was ALONE...I hardly ever get to shop at the grocery store without Waylon and be this prepared too. I love Waylon but oh my this was so fun to go alone. 2) I had a well planned out list and had all of my coupons ready 3) The store was stocked and had EVERY one of my items, no rain checks at all....4) Last but not least, there was not one problem with my coupons or the whole check out process!!!! It was picture perfect..

All right in a nutshell, this week Fry's is the place to go! They are doing their mix and match sale that when you by and 10 of certain participating items then you get $5 off instantly. As you can see by all the items I bought, I got $20 off automatically with just this alone. I had my Fry's VIP card (but who doesn't?) and that was an additional savings and then I had a little over $30 in just coupons alone.

So here is the short break down.. Ready???
I used $22.45 in just manufacture coupons alone (yes the paper ones, I save and cut out)

then many (any that were under a dollar) were doubled to match $1 off which gave me another $7.75 off

The Fry's VIP card saved me $88.14 (seriously who would not use that I do not know)

Which made my total savings $118.34!!!! = 71% of my total bill....

So the BIG question is how much did I pay????? $49.35!!!!!!

Here is my receipt!!!

I just noticed this...but if you look at how many items I bought...it says 48...so you can look at it as everything was under a dollar that I bought even though there was several items that were FREE....

This made me one HAPPY girl last night when I returned!

We are Expecting Again!!!

We are finally there!!! After some difficult times we are finally the farthest in a pregnancy than we have been since Waylon. Thursday I was officially 14 weeks pregnant!!! I also went to the Dr. on that day and heard a strong heartbeat from our little one! We are so thrilled and relieved that this time is finally here. Waylon is very excited and gets that there is a "baby" in mommy's tummy but we will see how he does as time goes by. I am sure he will be a wonderful big brother as he is just a wonderful little boy!
I sit here in my quiet house and wonder at times how can my life get better? Then I get so excited just thinking about all that is to come to our family. I am so blessed and have come to realise more than ever that there is a higher power or person greater than me. Because I have tried to control when I will have babies, who I was going to marry and so many other things in my life and I was proven wrong almost every time. Just goes to show you we all have our own path, and we do not choose it, we just follow it. I am so grateful for my path and even though there have been times of such heartbreak I would never change it, because it is my path!
Alright, enough of that!!! As you have noticed the blog background has changed...and that is because we are due July 8th of 2010.. So we made the blog (for now) a July theme. Keep us in your thoughts as we still have a long way to go until our newest gift is delivered to us.
Love,
The Pickard's

The last few days of fun

The last week of break we did as many fun things as we had time for.... We went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time with my niece and great friend Kim...who by the way LOVES Waylon and he loves her...!!! Thank goodness they were both there I had no energy to do that whole expierence that day, but they had so much fun. We played on rides, won tickets (for dumb prizes) and ate cheap pizza! We had a great time.

Then we went on a quad ride New Year's Day. We all know how much Waylon loves to be in the Rino and be outside with his pressious dirt. We all had a great time. Not as big of a riding crowd as last time, but still as much fun. We made it a little more adventerous this time and it was not really to my liking. Some of the trails we rode were a little too steap, Waylon did great and never said a word. Good thing he was not with me at the moment otherwise he might have been a little scared. We came across this huge pump too. The boys had to inspect it and see if there was a way they could take or use it for their own. Come to find out it was stolen property from about a month ago at Jake's work. About an hour later we ran into an officer who had been looking for the equipment all day. Pretty crazy...! After the ride we headed back to the house for dinner and some snacks. Waylon just ran around and hung out with Grandma and Grandpa's pups.

Then the following day we made a trip to the Zoo. So much nicer this time of year than in May! We had our girls day planned and this time we did an activity with the kids! They loved it and so did we but when the kids out number the adults, we do not have as much girl time as we needed. Oh well... who doesn't love the zoo.

The last day of our break we stayed home and just tried our best to get as much done around the house and relax as possible. I went out to breakfast with some old friend of the family and when we came back we worked on cleaning up Christmas around here. Can't believe it has come and gone again already.

I am officially back at work again, yuck! But we are half way through the year. Thank goodness I work part time, this year has been tough in more ways than one. Stayed tuned for a future blog that is very exciting. It should be posted this weekend!!!!
